Mixed Media
Mixed media projects allow me to explore movement and shapes in a more casual format. I like the crisp but soft edges I can achieve by combining ink with pastels. It’s also just fun to mix pastel colors directly on paper because of the immediacy of the process.
Other experiments involve applying paint to heavy paper and pressing torn pieces of tissue-gauge kozo paper onto the surface.
